Job Description

Title: Associate director

Purpose Lead the SaaS development team focused on building our client facing external web applications. Help the organization meet the technical challenges of building applications to support a rapidly expanding SaaS client base by satisfying product workflows designed to help optimizing the clients’ operations.


Duties and Responsibilities

1. Function as a SaaS team lead member, leading all development initiatives for SaaS applications, including the company’s flagship products

2. Collaborate with the Product, Architecture, and Infrastructure teams to ensure that delivered applications meet business requirements and will scale as the business grows

3. Evaluate third-party solutions versus building in-house software to meet business needs for platform enhancement

4. Lead, manage, and mentor the SaaS software development team

5. Provide technical feedback to aid in gathering of requirements for product enhancements

6. Deliver on time & quality software releases

7. Work with Product owners & internal stakeholders to ensure completeness and correctness of new features

8. Ensure cooperative team environment by a. Effectively communicating with staff about SaaS product roadmap and other product owner initiatives b. Adjusting procedures as necessary to create process efficiencies c. Amicably managing technical conflicts to create a win-win situation d. Encouraging constructive feedback from staff and between team members

9. Identify staffing requirements and develop manpower plans to address needs including reallocation of personnel, recruitment

10. Ensure staff is trained and aware of job expectations and determine remedial action when needed

11. Provide on-going feedback and annual performance reviews

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.



1. Fifteen plus years’ experience in software development in different facets of SDLC with last five plus years in leadership role supporting external client facing applications

2. Experience in managing & developing web-based applications using Microsoft Technologies

3. Experience in software & release delivery management using Agile best practices in product development life cycle

4. Experience in managing multiple parallel product releases adhering to timelines and quality

5. Prior hands-on programming experience using MS technologies and experience as a technical leader in handling MS technology projects in the past

6. Prior experience in building end to end SaaS solutions in healthcare area preferred

7. Prior experience in managing software solutions using linear programming through Gurobi optimizer and/or experience in building SMS platform using messaging technologies is nice to have

1. Ability to Lead software product team a. Provide guidance to and empower direct reports to effectively manage their responsibilities b. Oversee teams in developing product road maps and oversee the execution of the projects/activities c. Manage multiple SaaS projects across a wide breadth of MS technologies, coordinate dependencies and interactions with other internal teams and external partners d. Train and develop management and technical skills within SaaS development team

2. Ability to serve as domain expert in the areas of Patient Survey, staffing models, Provider Scheduling, etc.

3. Ability to understand the security and compliance needs in software application development

4. Ability to manage the software applications with minimal technical, quality and security debts and always be able to balance between functional & technical releases to keep the software well aligned with growing technology

5. Ability to retain, and improve talent a. Identify staffing requirements and develop manpower plans to address needs b. Maximize productivity among each of the team member c. Harness employee potential by utilizing the strengths

6. Ability to adhere to development engineering processes

7. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
