DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS CLASSIFICATION:?
- Participates in the implementation of standard policies and procedures pertaining to introduction and utilization of new technology and equipment for courtroom technology environments.
- Works with the court in the development and eventual implementation of short and long range technological improvements, ensuring minimal disruption to courtroom activities.
- Supports day to day operations of any technology used in the court to ensure reliable and effective operation.
- Supports current installations and support of the A/V components of digital recording systems and video conferencing systems.
- Tests and evaluates new technology prior to application in court environment.
- Assists in development of procedural guidelines and supplemental training documentation as needed for end users.
- Provides technical support on A/V hardware, control systems, and network/signal issues.
- Participates in development of a strategy for digital court records that is consistent with the vision of the KY e-Court program.
- Proposes a solution for CABINET statewide programs to include, but not limited to, detention pretrial interviews, remote video arraignments, and language interpreting services.
- Provides in house support to other TS divisions and interface with the software developers for enterprise content management, docket displays, and courthouse signage.
- Assists in development of standard operating procedures and processes for CABINET A/V Team.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business related field
Experience: Three years of experience preferred but not required
Education Substitute: Associate Degree and related job experience will substitute for Bachelor’s Degree on a year for year basis

- Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience working with courts and/or government is preferred
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND UNIQUE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- On-call availability as required.
- Work typically in office setting, court rooms, and justice facilities.
- Ability to lift and transports moderately heavy objects such as computers and peripherals.
- Statewide travel required.
