Job Description

Our client is a technology Managed Service Provider  seeking a talented senior level Client Partner (VP/AVP level) to join its growing organization and manage the overall relationship a number of clients in the Banking and Financial Services domain.

Client Leaders/Partners play a key role in our growth and are tasked with rapid business expansion within their assigned accounts, responsible for growth, health and future prospects of account relationships. This role requires extensive CxO level relationship building and executive connects, as well as a focus on revenues, operating margin, customer satisfaction, and employee growth and development.  Must bring top-notch consulting /relationship management skills and a deep appreciation of IT tools, techniques, systems and solutions.

This ‘new generation’ business leader will oversee one of the global platinum accounts (>$100 million in annual revenue), helping its clients both develop, and realize, their vision for technology enabled transformations within their business.

The company has restructured its client teams to better align its organization with the expectations of clients, and with digital trends. Under this new structure, the company is enhancing its focus on “platinum” core clients (the largest, global clients). A single client leader will coordinate the relationship with the client, to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction, efficiency, and profitability. The intent is to move beyond local service engagements towards a more strategic solutions-oriented model that supports much closer engagement, and allows for broader deployment of our value-added service offerings. This is intended to dramatically change how we ensures customer satisfaction and achieves growth.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with client leaders, across functional and BU lines, to create true thought partnership in defining their digital and transformational agendas. In doing so, s/he will uncover opportunities for deepening and broadening the client’s engagement. The Business Leader will be supported by teams, including Engagement and Delivery leaders, who will in turn manage the client account management and delivery teams that deliver our services to the client.

Key Accountabilities: 

The AVP will be empowered to drive solution and capability development towards deeper, longer, and more profitable engagements.  S/he will be responsible for building deep and sustainable relationships with the client, meeting top and bottom line goals, and ensuring customer satisfaction– with the end objective of achieving significant account growth.

Some of the specific priorities and responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Responsibility for Fortune 500 clients (vision, strategy, consulting, operations, relationship management, implementation, and team building)
  • Developing strong client relationships with C-suite executives
  • A deep understanding of the client’s industry landscape and strategic options - partnering with C-Suite clients to make bold decisions on priority issues at the intersection of business, technology, and operations
  • Understanding client business models, operating across the value chain to drive digital transformation by proactively identifying, building the need for, and then delivering on, new strategic initiatives
  • Leadership of cross-functional teams including thought leaders, subject matter experts, account executives, and operational and process delivery leaders to build deep, lasting, and profitable client engagements
  • Develop and mentor junior colleagues, both on and off project teams (industry knowledge, client context, innovations, etc.)


  • Ability to function as a subject matter expert in Portfolio Management and Business Services. Must be capable of analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing solutions using these skills. 
  • A minimum of 20+ years of experience in a client facing role or Account Management & Leadership role in a IT professional services or management consulting firm with at least 10 years in Banking and Financial Services. 
  • Depth in understanding of business problem domain, technology and services solution domains (digital transformations / solutions) 

*This role requires traveling onsite to client locations throughout the west coast. Candidates should live on west coast (preferred locations are Phoenix, Los Angeles, and San Francisco). Very competitive compensation offered.
