Job Description:

Hardware asset
management (HAM) is a business practice that involves creating, updating,
tracking, monitoring, and maintaining hardware assets.
·
As a Hardware
Asset Business Analyst, you will be involved in the day-to-day processing of
hardware requests including all aspects related to the hardware lifecycle
including asset tracking, auditing and disposal.
Job Duties:
·
Asset
location tracking: Keeping a
detailed record of where assets are located
·
Receiving
new assets: Using ITAM
software to receive real-time information about new assets, such as their
model, serial number, purchase date, warranty information, and location
·
Inventory
management: Tracking stock
levels and distribution, and alerting staff when stock is low
·
Hardware
asset lifecycle policy: Establishing
policies for hardware asset lifecycle activities, such as deployments and
disposal
·
Reporting:
Providing
detailed reports for all assets contained within our current ITSM system
·
Compliance:
Resolving compliance issues
Skills:
·
Excellent
organizational and communication skills are essential.
·
Ability to deal
tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum
of products and services.
·
Strong Data
Analytics skills – Candidate should possess necessary skills and experience in
performing in depth Data Analytics as it pertains to the various elements of
Hardware Asset Management.
·
Experience
working in a large-scale enterprise environment for Federal, State, or Local
governments or related private sector entities.
·
Proven
researching ability
·
Bachelor’s
degree in Business Management, Finance or a related field or work experience
equivalent
·
Minimum (4)
years direct work experience in hardware asset management.
·
IT Asset
Management and Discovery Tools experience – ServiceNow a plus.
·
Forklift Certification
·
Asset Management Professional
certifications.
