We are looking for a Business Analyst - Hardware Asset Management Specialist who can manage the full hardware asset lifecycle within an enterprise environment. The role involves tracking and maintaining accurate records of hardware assets, handling requests, auditing, and ensuring compliance with policies. Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills are required, along with experience in IT asset management tools and large-scale enterprise operations

Location: Frankfort, KY

Duration: Long-term Indefinite Contract

Work Location: Frankfort, KY (ONSITE)

 

Job Description:

·         Hardware asset management (HAM) is a business practice that involves creating, updating, tracking, monitoring, and maintaining hardware assets.

·         As a Hardware Asset Business Analyst, you will be involved in the day-to-day processing of hardware requests including all aspects related to the hardware lifecycle including asset tracking, auditing and disposal.

 

Job Duties:

·         Asset location tracking: Keeping a detailed record of where assets are located

·         Receiving new assets: Using ITAM software to receive real-time information about new assets, such as their model, serial number, purchase date, warranty information, and location

·         Inventory management: Tracking stock levels and distribution, and alerting staff when stock is low

·         Hardware asset lifecycle policy: Establishing policies for hardware asset lifecycle activities, such as deployments and disposal

·         Reporting: Providing detailed reports for all assets contained within our current ITSM system

·         Compliance: Resolving compliance issues

 

Skills:

·         Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.

·         Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services.

·         Strong Data Analytics skills – Candidate should possess necessary skills and experience in performing in depth Data Analytics as it pertains to the various elements of Hardware Asset Management.

·         Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment for Federal, State, or Local governments or related private sector entities.

·         Proven researching ability

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance or a related field or work experience equivalent

·         Minimum (4) years direct work experience in hardware asset management.

·         IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience – ServiceNow a plus.

·         Forklift Certification

·         Asset Management Professional certifications.
