Job Description 
Summary: The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.

Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
- Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
- Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
- Establish and document business processes.
- Set up project and work breakdown structures.
- Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:  
- WDO Planning, Budget forecast & tracking, working with operations and suppliers for outside machining operations

Typical task breakdown:
- Spreadsheet analyzation vs ERP and purchasing systems
- Machine gauge reading – quality issue problem solving
- Presentation with management and support teams

Work environment: 
- Office, shop & supplier trips as needed; Will be needing PPE gears, safety shoes, gloves, high visibility vest
- 50 % - office
- 50 % shop floor

Education & Experience Required:  
- Years of experience: 2 years manufacturing experience
- Degree requirement: HS Grad/GED/Associate
- Do you accept internships as job experience:   Yes
- Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: Machinist, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality Control
