Job Description
Change Management Specialist: Implements organizational change initiatives that enable the organization to achieve greater performance.
Responsibilities
- Creating and authoring corporate communications (interviews managers to gather information, writes articles, comes up with creative headlines, designs attractive powerpoint slides, aligns to communications brand standards, and ensures impeccable grammar/spelling).
- Conducting needs analysis and impact assessment to determine the most effective approach for implementing change of all types: organizational change, strategy rollouts, process improvements, system implementations, and behavioral change.
- Influencing and leading people to adoption of the organization's change initiatives to attain business results.
- Carrying out organizational change programs and activities and ensuring consistent and timely execution of change implementation plans.
Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, client-focus, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Knowledge of organizational change management principles or experience rolling out process and people changes in a business.
- Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS excel, etc.
- Basic visual design ability (creating attractive slides in MS PowerPoint) a plus
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Serve as a Change Management and Communications Specialist working with business units all over a large, matrixed company
- Influence and guide changes within project and transformations
- Responsible for creating and driving Change Plans
- Responsible for creating the artifacts, communications, or deliverables necessary to drive change
- Coordinating meetings, driving action items, thinking analytically

Why this Role?
- We are an internal change management office working with projects and executives across every division of the enterprise. No project or change is exactly the same, so we are adaptable, trusted guides to the organization.
Typical task breakdown:
- Maintain relationship with internal clients to understand upcoming change (people, process, system, behavior, or culture changes)
- Run working team meetings (facilitating while sharing screen)
- Influence and guide changes, including convincing upper leadership to understand the importance of change management
- Learn enough about the project through interviews and research to write rollout communications
- Design materials in MS PowerPoint to support a change rollout
- Review and edit communications to ensure consistent messaging across channels
- Coordinate activities and ensure consistent and timely execution of change implementation plans
- Use surveys, interviews, and focus groups to gather perspectives and measure change adoption
Interaction with team:
- They will be provided a mentor to help them on-board and get up to speed. Then the mentor will work through project with them as needed until they are ready to take on the project alone
Team Structure
- Three senior employees/specialists who serve as team leads, trainers, and project startup guides. Remaining employees own internal customer relationships and drive own change plans.
Work environment:
- Fully onsite( five days a week)
Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: 5+ years of experience in Organizational Change Management, transformation leadership, or strategic communication
- Degree requirement: 2-year degree required, bachelor’s preferred

- Open to Masters: 2- 3 years experience
- Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: Change Management consultant, communications representative, public relations specialist, program manager, executive coach

Disqualifiers/Red Flags/Overqualifications:
- No experience in Organizational Change Management Professional
- Candidate not willing to be onsite five days a week
Travel Requirement: 0-25% Unlikely, would be Indiana or Georgia
