Title: Data Quality Manager

Type: Perm, Full time

Location: New York (Midtown)

Must Have: at least 1-2 years’ experience in leading team, 3-5 years’ experience in data quality/data clearing and hands on in Windows/Linus based environment including industry standard process and tools, advanced Python and SQL skills,

Data Quality Manager will lead the Data QA. The Data Quality Manager will have a passion for data quality, working with large data sets, and managing a team of direct reports. The successful candidate will work to ensure the quality of both our data and our software. They will bring with them demonstrated experience in both realms being hands-on with data quality assurance and leading a team of direct reports.


  • Perform hands-on QA including data quality, new features, and regression testing
  • Utilize SQL and Python to perform data cleaning, data analysis, and data quality control
  • Assist Business Analysts in writing test documents – test plan, test cases, and test summaries
  • Liaise with various groups including Business Analysts, Project Manager, and upper management to delegate workload to the Data QA team
  • Participate in the design process to ensure Data QA deliveries
  • Investigate ETL workflows
  • Assist in defining new and refining existing processes and procedures
  • Create and execute automated verification scripts
  • Create QC reports, working with Product Support for testing, and updating accordingly
  • Design data quality checks using our in-house QA framework
  • Mentor and guide direct reports. Provide formal performance reviews and participate in hiring.



  • Undergraduate degree required – Computer Science, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics preferred
  • 1 – 2 years of experience leading a team – delegating projects, mentoring, guiding direct reports, and participating in performance reviews
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in data quality/data cleaning
  • Advanced SQL skills – stored procedures; MS SQL Server, Postgres
  • 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience in Windows and Linux based environments including utilizing industry standard processes and tools


What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience with BI Tools such as Tableau or Looker preferred
  • A basic understanding of Statistics and/or Applied Mathematics
  • Python data analysis libraries – Panda, NumPy, Pyodbc, Psycopg2
  • Workflow automation tools such as Universal Controller
  • AWS services including S3 and Athena
  • An understanding of financial market data and options
