Job Description 
The main function of design engineering is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical systems engineer analyzes user needs, and then designs, tests, and develops software to meet those needs.

Job Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Engineering CAD data files to ensure proper application of engineering standards, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
- Ensure the models, drawings, and supplemental data fully defines the design intent and manufacturing implementation requirements
- Collaboration with engineering clients on design and/or drafting improvement recommendations
- Upload documentation of checking results in Teamcenter engineering
- Download all engineering CAD data to review model, drawing, tiff and supplemental data for checking reviews.

Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Basic knowledge of the full engineering design development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or relevant field required.
- 2-4 years experience is desired but not required.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group: 
- Provide drafting mentorship, Checking and Releasing support to NPI, CPI, Production engineering teams

Typical task breakdown:
Review Engineering Design drawings, models, notices to Client Engineering Standards. Collaborate with Engineering designers on areas of opportunity to improve quality defects

Education & Experience Required: 
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or relevant field required.
- 2-4 years’ experience  
- No 2 year degrees
- Open to Master’s
- Internships count as experience
