3. Minimum 4 years experience creating, improving, or establishing technical product specifications and timelines to support accelerated development toward SOP

Engineer / Senior Engineer – Interiors
Role
- Be a significant contributor to a world?class Interior Components and Systems engineering team
- Create industry?leading Interior Components and Systems with groundbreaking luxury, craftsmanship, performance, safety, ergonomics, and functionality
- Contribute to the packaging, engineering, release, and launch of Interior Components and Systems across the Client portfolio
- Work collaboratively within a cross?functional marketing, design, and vehicle engineering team, prioritizing overall vehicle benefit above individual systems
- Collaborate with interior trim suppliers to ensure technical excellence and on?time delivery of Client Interior Components and Systems
- Employ and develop effective tools and innovative approaches to support product development
Qualifications
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience as a detail?oriented Interior Components and Systems development lead (e.g., hard trim, soft trim, IP, door trims, consoles, headliners, etc.)
- Knowledge and understanding of automotive interior components and systems, industry benchmarks, trends, and supplier capabilities
- Experience creating, improving, or establishing technical product specifications and timelines to support accelerated development toward SOP
- Proficiency in CAD for 2D/3D concept drawings, interior components and systems, packaging layouts, and DFM studies (CATIA V5/V6 preferred)
- Vehicle and product launch experience

- Experience completing one full program cycle from concept to production launch in automotive interior components and systems
- Profound knowledge of vehicle interior systems with a demonstrable track record of technical excellence and program execution
- Strong understanding of plastic part design, structural performance, manufacturing technologies, craftsmanship, ergonomics, safety, and homologation requirements
- Competency in materials selection, plastic injection molding/DFM, and GD&T
- A strong desire to create exceptional products as part of a highly capable team
- A practical, hands?on approach that complements theoretical knowledge
- Exceptional technical abilities paired with excellent communication skills
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Equipment or Software Required: Engineering PC
