Job Description
Desktop Engineer/Support Tech located at KCIW in Pee-Wee
Valley, KY. We’re seeking a knowledgeable technician with a
high aptitude for customer service. Candidates must have minimum
1-2yrs experience in Desktop Support or similar role. This must include
installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a windows-based
environment. Along with desktop duties selected candidate may be required
to assist with security cameras, servers, and network switches. This position
will provide desktop support to the DOC staff within the Correctional Complex,
but will also interact or be among prison inmates as they are used for work
detail, etc.
Qualified candidates must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to lift
and carry heavy objects or work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods
of time. The candidate must be able to pass a DOC background check and
extensive drug test prior to starting. DOC holds training that can last
up to 2-3 weeks. This training teaches them how to work, adapt, and
conduct themselves in a prison atmosphere.
