Electrical Design Engineer III (# 8329)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex multi-layer digital PCBs for processor/FPGA/SoC-based systems.
  • Define and constrain high-speed interfaces, clocking, resets, and digital subsystems.
  • Perform signal integrity analysis and work closely with PCB layout teams.
  • Lead board bring-up, hardware debugging, and interface validation in the lab.
  • Develop test plans and support hardware/firmware/software integration.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and contribute to manufacturing readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent — required.
  • 5–7 years of hands-on digital hardware design experience.
  • Strong high-speed digital design and transmission-line fundamentals.
  • Experience with high-speed memory and/or serial interfaces.
  • Proven experience taking a complex board from schematic to bring-up and validation.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools; Siemens Xpedition strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with high-speed lab instrumentation and debugging.
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity and EMI/EMC principles.

Preferred

  • Processor/FPGA/SoC design and bring-up experience.
  • Signal integrity simulation experience.
  • Aerospace, semiconductor, or rugged/high-reliability hardware experience.
  • Hardware/firmware/software integration experience.
  • Test automation or scripting experience.

    A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $65 - $70/hr on W2.
