Job Description  
Summary: The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.

Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise the design, development, and testing of the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
- Review and approve the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models.
- Discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects with clients.
- Supervise the simulation and testing of machine/structure/system operation and monitor product quality.
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Typical task breakdown:
- Develop and document requirements for Battery Electric Machines (BEM) DC fast charging products compliant with all applicable regulations, UL, ISO, IEC and other industry standards.
- Interact with BEM team to ensure a successful charger integration effort.
- Participate DFMEA and create verification and validation charging system test plan and execute the tests to ensure they meet performance standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. 
- Support Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis and Functional Safety efforts focused on the Charger in its intended application.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to charging systems, often collaborating with other engineers and technicians
- Utilize laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras, etc.) to conduct detailed analysis and root cause investigations.

Education & Experience Required: 
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 4+ years of related experience or BS degree in electrical engineering with 7+ years related experience

Technical Skills  
(Required)
-  Hands-on experience with charging products or converter/inverter products testing and debugging.
- Strong understanding of power converters such as DC-DC converters, AC-DC inverters
- Proficiency in using lab instruments and data acquisition tools.
- Experience with standards and compliance (UL, IEC, ISO) for charging systems.

(Desired) 
- Experience with automated test systems.
- Understanding of EMI/EMC testing, thermal design, and environmental validation.
- Working experience with CANape and charging system
