Job Description:
The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.
Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise the design, development, and testing of the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
• Review and approve the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models.
• Discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects with clients.
• Supervise the simulation and testing of machine/structure/system operation and monitor product quality.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 8-10 years experience required.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Supporting engineering project leads and electrical team leads to develop subsystem designs and component designs to meet customer requirements.

Typical task breakdown:
- Creo designing, detailing, and releasing of full standby power solutions thru all aspects of the project (concept, detailed design, release, purchasing support, build support, commissioning support)
Interaction with team:
- Daily interaction with local team members and international team members
Team Structure
- Electrical leads support design engineers with requirements and timelines. Leads report back on project status weekly
- 7 are on the team, 4 local, 3 in different locations
Work environment:
- In office with dedicated desk surrounded by local team members from the electrical subsystem team, mechanical subsystem team, and project level engineering teams
- It is office based but may require going to the shop floor to investigate. Steeltoe shoes and other PPE would be required
Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: 8
- Degree requirement: BSEE or BSEET
- Potentially open to Associates degree with 12 years - if the experience is specifically relevant to the required skills.
- Potentially open to Masters with 6 year experience - if the experience is specifically relevant to the required skills.
