Job Description
Summary: The main function of an embedded software engineer is to apply the
principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design,
development, testing, and evaluation of the embedded software and systems that
make computers work. A typical embedded software engineer researches, designs,
develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network
distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications,
aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- This position is for a Software Engineer to support the Detect Application
group within the Client Robotics division. The individual hired for
this position will work as part of an engineering team to design, develop,
integrate, and test software features on embedded electronic controls for use
in safety detect machine applications.
This role
will work in the Robotics division, but candidates with relevant experience in
the automotive domain, without prior robotics experience, will also be
considered

Work Schedule: 5 days a week, ~40 hours/week
Team Environment: Collaborative, Agile structure
Experience: 6–7 years of embedded software development
experience OR 5 years with a Master’s degree
Technical Skills:
- GStreamer experience is very important
- Strong
C++ development experience
- Scripting
experience (6–7 years preferred)
- Python
is not mandatory

to work on new development and some legacy support
