Summary:

·         We’re in search of a Financial Analyst to  Interpret and analyze legal and financial documents to determine contingent compensation obligations. Looking for someone who has Contingent Compensation/Participations or Royalty document preparation, processing and reporting experience.

Duration: 12+ Month contract with possibility of extension

Contingent Compensation (Participations) Analyst 
Summary:
Responsibilities:
•    Interpret and analyze legal and financial documents to determine contingent compensation obligations.
•    Model, set-up, pay and report contingent compensation (participations)obligations. 
•    Track future contingent compensation obligations and related bonuses.
•    Liaise with Business Affairs, FP&A and Legal to gather required information. 
•    Participate in the enhancement and evolution process of new systems related to process improvements, efficiency and standardization.
•    Clearly communicate complex ideas and effectively manage external relationships. This includes conversations with talent representatives and third-party distributors to discuss and resolve any inquiries or discrepancies.
•    Set up and manage vendor set ups.

Key Qualifications:
•    4+ years of entertainment industry experience required, ideally in a Contingent Compensation/Participations or Royalty department.
•    Contingent Compensation/Participations or Royalty document preparation, processing and reporting experience. 
•    Knowledge of backend agreements. 
•    Must be able to comprehend and interpret legal agreements. 
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. 
•    Excellent Excel skills. 
•    Highly motivated, analytical, proactive and self-sufficient. 
•    Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
•    Must be able to work independently and team up with various divisions and departments. 
•    New Media experience is a plus. 
•    Passion for the Entertainment Industry.

Education & Experience
•    BA/BS in accounting, finance, business administration or similar degree and or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $50 to $52/hour
