Position’s Contributions to Work Group: 
- This position collaborates with suppliers to ensure execution to planned orders and schedules and resolves issues with suppliers to ensure material availability for facility production. The incumbent works with the facility production schedulers and operations personnel to support facility production and point of use material availability. Ensures alignment of facility inventory accuracy and inventory systems planning parameters with the plan for every part to maintain planning integrity.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage material shortages and coordinate with suppliers
  • Act as a liaison between supply base and production line
  • Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing, production floor, and shipping
  • Escalate transportation issues to logistics teams when necessary
  • Focus on streamlining processes and improving material flow

Interaction with team: 
- Interaction with the team daily, collaborative environment

Work environment: 
- Office environment adjacent to production floor

Education & Experience Required: 

  • Associate’s, Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering is required 
    5 or more years of related experience
    No Cap on experience
  • Supply Chain planning experience
  • General understanding of supply chain operations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Quick-thinking, proactive, and adaptable
  • Comfortable working extensively in Excel

 

Tools & Skills Required

·         Must-haveStrong Excel skills, PowerPoint

·         Nice-to-have: Power BI

·         Other tools: Outlook, Microsoft Teams (basic usage)

·         On-time delivery

·         Supplier shipping performance

·         Managing exceptions and planning accuracy

·         Inventory management (focus area, not a primary KPI)


Technical Skills 
(Required)
- Microsoft office (excel), MRP experience General knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management

(Desired) 
- Knowledge and/or experience in material control, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations and transportation or logistics desired 
- Ability to use and troubleshoot the MRP, Lognet and MTS systems


Disqualifiers/Red Flags:
