Job Description

  • Monitor, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, and install various network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points (WAP), and other associated equipment.
  • Document and update network physical layouts, logical connectivity, and device configurations with Microsoft Visio or equivalent application.
  • Managing all network back-up and restore activities.
  • Creating and reviewing security and traffic reports with management to adjust network and firewall policies.
  • Working with vendors and carriers to monitor and resolve carrier related issues.
  • Working with the help desk and end users to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Working with end users and providing end user help desk support on an as needed basis.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and other protocols
  • Working knowledge of routing and routing protocols
  • CCNA certified or 1-2 years of experiencing configuring and deploying Cisco switches.
  • Experience with building and creating firewall policies.
  • Experience with Visio and Network diagrams.
  • A security focused mentality.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum Pay rate for this position is $30/hr. to $33.65/Hr.
