Job Description

My client is looking for an experience Devops engineer who can be deeply involved in architecting, building, and supporting all aspects of the infrastructure technology stack. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and automating our production environment, including Google Cloud infrastructure planning, scaling, monitoring, and security.

You have a startup personality and have experience designing and maintaining reliable, high-availability production systems and services. You are accustomed to implementing cloud-based solutions with significant work experience leveraging public cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.


Responsibilities:

· Maintain and evolve our production infrastructure, strategically employing automation, and infrastructure-as-code for Production and Staging environments;

· Design, build and improve on CI/CD pipelines to make them robust, performant and efficient;

· Deploy, manage, and support our environments, including troubleshooting of incidents;

· Continually improve DevOps tools, processes and procedures;

· Work closely with Development and QA teams to help ensure end-to-end quality.

Qualifications:

· 4+ years of professional experience building and managing production environments in Google Cloud (preferred), AWS or Azure;

· Expertise with Linux environments

· Working experience implementing, operating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using automation tools such as Jenkins;

· Experience with Docker container strategies in production settings;

· Working experience with container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes, Docker Compose, etc.;

· Working experience in platform and configuration management frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, etc.

· Experienced in Open Source web technologies, especially in the areas of highly-available, secure systems;

· Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and security compliance (preferred);

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a technical field (Engineering, Math, etc).
