Someone comfortable with mainframe applications, support, analytics, monitoring, infrastructure understanding, and troubleshooting. Someone comfortable working with SQL/DB2 (required). Someone comfortable with IMS or CICS development (required). Someone familiar with debugging tools like Xpeditor and Abend-Aid. - Helping on development strategy projects.
Typical task breakdown:
- Research existing mainframe programs and documenting/flow charting findings
- Enhancing existing programs
- Writing custom one-time-only use programs to perform data modifications
- Documenting change evidence for FSA/SOX compliance

- Office environment - collaborating with team members
Education & Experience Required:
- Programming certificate degree - at least undergrad / community college 2
yr., preferably/desired 4 year Comp Sci degree
- No degree, they will need to have at least 8-10 of actual hands on experience
in this role.
- Masters degree, they will at least 4+ years of experience
Technical Skills
(Required)
- 2+ years experience with Client mainframe environment, preferably GIS Cluster
C/A - COBOL development
- 3+ years -SQL / DB2 programming mainframe
- 3+ years -IMS or CICS development
- 2+ years (IMS preferred)
- 2+ years with debugging tools like Xpeditor, Abend-Aid –
- 2+ experience working with end-customers on IT requirements / testing

- Experience in working with FSA/SOX Controls
