Summary:
We’re in search of an experienced Mainframe Systems
Analyst/Programmer. This role involves planning, analyzing, and
implementing advanced information processing techniques for software systems.
It requires expertise in IBM mainframe technologies, storage administration,
and z/OS subsystems. Additionally, it includes supporting system programmers
and administrators in a complex technical environment.

Job Title: Mainframe Systems Analyst/Programmer IV.
Location: Frankfort, KY – 100% Remote
Duration: Long-term Indefinite Contract
Description:
Plans, conducts and coordinates the application of
state-of-the-art information processing techniques in the analysis, design and
implementation of software systems technical support and operating system
development. Tasks are of a complex nature. May act as team or project leader
on major software design and development projects.
Required
Experience:

This individual will serve as the main point of
contact between our outsourced mainframe provider’s system programming team,
management, and the client.
·
between CABINET and software/hardware vendors
·
between internal and external agencies to
respond to mainframe inquires
·
between application developers for application
and system troubleshooting
·
to coordinate system upgrades and maintenance
with Kyndryl and CABINET
·
Monitor system performance identifying root
causes for performance issues and make recommendations to management and MAAS
provider.
·
Develop operational standards; provide technical
assistance to application developers and operations personnel
·
Design, implementation and customization of
various mainframe technical solutions.
·
Development and implementation of standards and
procedures of various mainframe technical solutions.
·
Interact with customer and provide regular
management reports / analysis.
·
Experience in storage and backup technologies
used in a mainframe environment.
Responsibilities:
·
This individual will serve as the main point of

·
Between internal and external agencies to
respond to mainframe inquires
·
Between application developers for application
and system troubleshooting
·
to coordinate system upgrades and maintenance
with Kyndryl and CABINET

Monitor system performance identifying root
causes for performance issues and make recommendations to management and MaaS
provider.

Coordinate proposed changes with the MaaS
provider and CABINET employees.
·
Coordinates and communicates system outages.
·
Attend weekly meetings and be part of the Change
control board.
·
Develop operational standards; provide technical
assistance to application developers and operations personnel.
·
Design, implementation and customization of
various mainframe technology solutions.
·
Development and implementation of standards and
procedures of various mainframe technical solutions.
·
Interact with customer and provide regular
management reports / analysis.
·
Assist in WLM tuning and Sysplex activities.
·
Experience in Storage and Backup.
