Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong shop floor domain expertise and digital product mindset to partner with IT and Azure DevOps (ADO) teams in the development and deployment of manufacturing specific digital tools.
The ideal candidate understands manufacturing processes deeply, can translate operational needs into clear digital requirements, and is comfortable working in Agile / DevOps delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & Operational Leadership
Represent manufacturing operations in the design of digital tools (e.g., OEE, connected equipment, digital twins, production analytics)
Define process intent, loss mechanisms, and operational constraints to guide solution development
Ensure digital capabilities align with shop floor realities, safety standards, and quality systems
Support pilot deployments and validate solutions in live manufacturing environments
Digital Product & DevOps Collaboration:
Partner with IT and product teams using Azure DevOps to develop manufacturing capabilities
Create and refine Epics, Features, and Acceptance Criteria that reflect manufacturing outcomes
Contribute to Agile planning, backlog refinement, and incremental delivery (MDP ? MVP ? MMP)
Support trade off decisions between standardization, localization, and scalability
Requirements & Data Translation:
Translate manufacturing problems into clear, testable digital requirements
Identify critical data signals and events needed to support operational decision making
Define functional and non functional requirements (performance, reliability, usability)
Ensure traceability from manufacturing need ? digital feature ? deployed capability
Cross Functional Alignment:
Facilitate workshops with manufacturing, IT, data, and leadership stakeholders
Align multiple facilities around common digital standards and operating models
Actively prevent scope creep and reinforce outcome driven development
Support change management and adoption of digital tools on the shop floor

Education & Experience Required:
Years of experience: 10+years
Degree requirement: BS Degree; Open for master’s – 7 years

Top 3 Skills:
Experience working in manufacturing or production environments (machining, assembly, fabrication, etc.)
Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, equipment behavior, and process flows
Experience collaborating with IT, software, or digital product teams

Experience supporting pilot to scale digital implementations
