Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Create design concepts and drawings of electric generators and motors that meet functional and technical requirements, cost goals, quality initiatives and manufacturing process requirements.
- Utilize Client engineering tools (CREO, Teamcenter, PRWB, EDS etc) to design concepts and release drawings
- Intake issue requests from the field, manufacturing and supply chain and resolve accordingly after thorough root cause investigation and analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external suppliers, manufacturing facilities, engineering partners
- Support prototype build, test and validation activities.
- Support APQP activities.
Skills:
- Team player and detail oriented.
- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
- Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
- Analytical skills, initiating ideas, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
- Knowledge of engineering principles, theory, and engineering experience gained through projects, internships, and/or relevant work experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and quickly acquire and apply new skills and knowledge
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Team Structure
- Our division is Power Electronics and Motors. Within that division we are one of 4 motor component teams. The team consists of project leads, senior engineers and design engineers.
Work environment:
- Office with open cubicle environment. Occasional visits to manufacturing facilities adjacent to our office building.
Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: 1-5
- Degree requirement: BS ME or Agriculture (accredited institution)
