Job Description

For one of our clients, we are looking for The Microsoft 365 Senior Technical Specialist, a Microsoft subject matter expert who will be responsible for leading and managing the company's Microsoft 365 deployment projects. This person will be a senior technical lead for platform-wide oversight and management of Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive, and will be the technical lead for expanding Microsoft Teams as the company's standard for video conferencing, and for transitioning the Skype Phone System to Microsoft Teams. This person will also be the technical lead for introducing new Microsoft collaboration capabilities to the company (Forms, Lists, Bookings) and will ensure ease of access for all employees within the project scope. This is a contract position for 3 months in a remote mode.


Job profile:

The ideal candidate will provide employee-facing support and conduct business requirements analysis to deliver capabilities and technology integrations across platforms for greater employee effectiveness, as well as will improve upon existing employee engagement models, build upon ITSM processes for incident management, request management, and release management, and will continuously build more connected and interoperable platforms while planning, building, and implementing Microsoft 365 roadmap technologies.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the overall Microsoft 365 environment, and will be a subject matter expert in Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive, and have enterprise experience in Exchange Online Protection, Advanced Threat Protection, Data Loss Prevention, message archiving, and related Microsoft 365 security and operational administrative controls and best practices. The candidate is also an expert in managing Microsoft Teams API integrations with third-party applications and chat bots, manage collaboration tools for mobile environments, and has extensive experience with configurations and management of Microsoft Teams Phone System. This role will focus on project implementation and will design and implement support processes for each technology as part of project efforts.


Scope of duties:


Be an effective technical leader and driver to expand Microsoft Teams as a fully operable real-time voice and video platform for PSTN phone calling and video conferencing for both internal as well as external B2B/B2C meeting participants.
Lead the technical planning, developing, and hands-on implementing of activities to quickly and safely drive projects to deployment.
Be a technical SME that can both advise and partner with the existing engineering and project teams.
Evaluate, implement, and maintain changes to technology platforms.
Assist with platform issues and incident management, including investigating incidents and remediating appropriately, or coordinating actions with other Level 2 and Level 3 engineering team members.
Partner with existing team to administer, monitor, and manage Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Exchange Online, the Exchange hybrid, and other Microsoft 365 collaboration tools to ensure availability to pre-agreed Service Levels and perform necessary maintenance or enhancements to support availability.
Develop and maintain all systems, applications, security, and telecommunication configurations.
Manage the business requirements review and implementation of API integrations for Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 services.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including project support, strategic planning, and road map development and implementation.

Required Skills/Experience:

-  A highly experienced and skilled Microsoft 365 Technical Specialist/Engineer

- This person should be at the skill level that she/he can begin taking actions and advising/consulting on day 1;

- This person will focus on: - Microsoft Teams, Expanding Microsoft Teams Conferencing and Teams Events, Transitioning the company phone system from on-premises Skype to Microsoft Teams (Teams Voice), General Microsoft 365 security settings and controls, meetings and event policies for external attendees, external access controls to data, as required by project scope, other Microsoft Capabilities: Forms, Bookings, Lists

- Candidate should be a Microsoft 365 certified Enterprise Administrator Expert, and have demonstrated experience managing enterprise environments

- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

- Strong experience with creating and managing PowerShell scripts

- Experience with email security platforms, including Exchange Online Protection, Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection, and Axway MailGate

- Experience with Microsoft Teams Phone System
