Job Title: Jr Network Administrator

Job Description:
The
Network Administrator is responsible for troubleshooting Local Area Network,
Wide Area Network, Wireless Networks, and Remote Access, in addition to leading
optimal new store installations and troubleshooting. This also includes
ensuring automated failover for all critical store and headquarters operations.
This position will be directly responsible for the day-to-day operations,
availability, reliability, scalability, and security of all production network
data platforms and is a highly technical administrative role that will work
closely with multiple teams and locations to maximize infrastructure security,
availability, and performance. The Network Administrator will also be
responsible for interacting with vendors and service providers and keeping internal
customers informed of production issues. The Network Administrator acts as an
expert in the infrastructure department and will have responsibilities for both
the Co-operative headquarters operations as well as service support to all
independent store owners who are members of the client.
Job Description:
- Survey,
install, design, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN technologies
- Install,
configure, and troubleshoot switching, routing, firewalls, and wireless
- New retail store network installs
for Co-Operative members.
- Confirm circuit order with
static IPs functioning on the store network
- Network infrastructure, router,
backup cellular router (Cradlepoint) Installation
- Test Failover
- Provide
Wide Area Network (WAN) support and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot
telecommunications and network equipment issues with the server team
- Maintain network topology,
supporting diagrams, failover procedures, and updated documentation
between service providers.
- Work with vendors to update all
documentation related to PCI Compliance and assessment as needed
- Update PCI Policy and Procedures
Document
- Update all network diagrams.
- Complete Interview with Assessor
- Provide requested evidence to
Assessor.
- Complete risk assessment
- Remediate any risks found during
the interview and penetration test.
- Work with managed service
providers to maintain network hardware and regularly scheduled
updates. In addition, introduce new
technology products into the organization to increase performance, reduce
risk, ensure high quality, and provide cost-effective services.
- Work with MSP on managing Amazon
AWS experience, Cisco Meraki platform, as well as legacy Cisco devices.
- Periodic after-hours and weekend
work will be required for store failures and troubleshooting, potentially
requiring travel to our Matawan office or one of our member store
locations to configure replacement equipment to pass off to our IT Field
Team for installation.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s
degree in MIS or Computer Science.
- Certifications
in any of these areas would be a plus (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA
Security+, Cisco CCNA
Certification, or AWS Certification
- SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong customer service and
communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a
professional and supportive manner to our store membership and service
providers.
- At least 5 years of experience
with networking and security technologies
- A Strongly Preferred Candidate
will have practical experience in networking and security technologies in
a Retail Store Environment.
- Must be able to manage multiple
projects/responsibilities simultaneously. Self-motivated, well-organized,
and detail-oriented.
- Experienced in virtual
environments and web applications.
- Ability to work independently
regarding maintenance of existing systems, implementation of new systems,
or resolution of complex technical issues.
- Cisco routers, switches, and
firewalls, LTE cellular backups, Cisco/Meraki Wireless solutions
- Experience with SAP a plus
