As a Network Engineer V based in Herndon, VA, you’ll operate at the highest levels of network engineering—designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting mission-critical environments. Required Skills
- Minimum 7+ years of industry experience in network engineering
- Strong IP networking fundamentals and demonstrated history of applying IP protocols effectively
- Expert-level proficiency with major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF
- In-depth experience with major router platforms, including Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx, and associated supervisory and line cards
- Advanced network analysis capabilities and exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Solid hands-on expertise with protocols and technologies including:
- DWDM, T1/DS1, DS3, SONET (OC3, OC48)
- 802.2/3, 802.1d VLANs/STP
- IPv4 & IPv6, TCP internals & flow control
- HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS
- IPSEC & VPNs, netflow, DNS, HTTP
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible)
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Exposure to SDN technologies and virtualization
- Prior experience in large-scale, high-availability environments
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent expertise
- Experience leading complex network projects or initiatives with full ownership responsibilities

- Ability to take decisive ownership of tasks and drive them to resolution
- Willingness to work onsite in Herndon, VA
- Availability for occasional travel and on-call work as required
