CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

Necessary to perform the requirements of the position:

 

Education – University or higher vocational degree and certification in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Network or Virtual system Engineering or related discipline is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum eight (8) years of Infrastructure operation and complex network platforms implementation, automation component experience is preferred.
  • Operational Technology hardware and Operation technology networks is a must.

 

Skills – the following are strongly recommended/critical:

  • Strong experience in Datacenter infrastructure, CORE switches configuration, Industrial network topology design, REP segments, spanning tree, traffic segmentation, routing protocols.
  • Experience & certified in CISCO Catalyst, Nexus, Industrial Series, Aironet, Forti Net or other product lines
  • Experience with Firewalls, CheckPoint, FortiGate, SD-Wan, configuration and management.
  • Good coordination capability, detailed experience & understanding of industrial Network infrastructure topologies, Purdue model, CISCO recommendations, DELL equipment, configuration and remediation.
  • Detailed understanding of a Routing Protocols, WLAN/wireless configuration, ISE, Spectrum, and LTE technology.
  • Understanding of Layer 2, Layer 3, Layer 5, SNMP, LLDP implementation.
  • Detailed understanding & implementation experience with SolarWinds, NPM, NCM and monitoring tools.

 

  • Collaboration - Able to work together with equipment automation team, build working relationships with operational areas. Personal tact, cultural understanding, and well-developed communication skills (cross functional as well as on different levels).
  • Shift work – The person is required to work in shifts, day or evening, the shift schedule can vary based on the workload and requirements established by function head or area director.

Management Skills –

  • Able to demonstrate experience, working alongside Network & Systems infrastructure teams and external vendors as both implementation and run/support business model.
  • Experience with applying Lean tools, standards, and tooling.
  • Problem solving experience and active incident management experience.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $80/Hr. to $100/hr.
