Job Title: Procurement Category Manager
Location: Seattle, WA | Nashville, TN | Houston, TX | Arlington, VA | Bellevue, WA (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies for capital equipment and material handling systems (MHE). This role partners with cross-functional teams to drive procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and long-term value through scalable and standardized solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for equipment and components
- Lead sourcing events, supplier negotiations, and contract execution
- Manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and global teams
- Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Drive innovation, productivity, and process improvements within the category
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, with a focus on equipment, industrial automation/robotics, CAPEX or similar complex categories.
- Strong experience in contracting, supplier management, and cost modeling
- Proven ability to build and optimize supply chain processes
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in industrial automation, robotics, or MHE
- Knowledge of supply chain development and procurement tools
- Certifications such as CPSM or CSCP (a plus)
