Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced program manager to join their Seattle office team and continue their tradition of success.  The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives.   As a program manager you will be responsible for creating and executing against the project plan, proactively mitigating risks, and managing the software development life cycle from inception to production launch and post production support.  They practice Agile development, with an emphasis on rational, sustainable schedules. There is a strong, collaborative relationship between managers, architects, developers, program managers, and QA engineers as partners in the delivery of quality products. This position offers a tremendous opportunity to interact with cutting edge technologies.


  • Work closely with product owners, cross-functional teams, and assigned development managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
  • Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce project reports for management and stakeholders


Your Skills:

  • 3+ years previous experience in software program management, project management, and administration
  • Experience with software development lifecycle from conception to delivery
  • Managed at least two major software projects at least 6 months long from conception to delivery
  • Managed some or all the following languages and technologies including C, C++, C#, .Net, Java, database, TCP/IP networking, bug tracking systems, and software version control systems
  • Knowledgeable in program management methodology and techniques
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Works well to deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Previous development and QA experience as an individual contributor a plus
  • Experience or knowledge of wireless networking, machine learning, and VPNs a plus
