Role Overview
Amazon is seeking a seasoned
Program Manager with strong HVAC and Plumbing expertise to lead mechanical
design standardization across multiple building programs. This role serves as
the central liaison between internal design stakeholders, external consultants,
and general contractors, ensuring consistent, code-compliant, and
cost-effective mechanical systems across industrial and manufacturing
facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Program
Management: Oversee multiple MEP projects, align strategies across
departments, and ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery.
- Project
Execution: Develop detailed plans, manage resources, and
coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Technical
Leadership: Review and approve MEP designs, ensure compliance with
codes and standards, and guide teams on technologies.
- Team
Management: Lead and mentor MEP engineers and project managers,
foster collaboration, and drive performance.
- Quality
Control: Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues,
and maintain high design standards.
- Client
Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for MEP matters,
manage expectations, and communicate project status.
- Financial
Oversight: Manage budgets, implement cost-saving measures, and
support value engineering efforts.
- Risk
Management: Handle change orders, contract modifications, and
ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Continuous
Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and implement
process enhancements.
Required Qualifications
& Skills
- Bachelor’s
or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (P.E. preferred)
- 10+
years of project management experience in complex commercial or industrial
projects
- Strong
knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and industry regulations
- Proficiency
in BIM tools (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360)
- Experience
in clash detection and BIM coordination
- Familiarity
with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent
communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven
ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and present to senior leadership
Ideal Background

or large-scale commercial real estate—especially from firms like Amazon,
Walmart, Tesla, FedEx, or top EPCs—will be a strong fit.
