Why this Role?
- Opportunity to lead concurrent product and process meetings managing and
discussing Engineering Change Notices, aimed at proactively managing risk
across the Engineering Value Chain, including stock disposition, buy levels,
controlling and dependent engineering changes across impacted system teams.
Typical task breakdown:
- Creating standard work and information/training documents for engineers
- Work with internal and external suppliers to set effectivity and implement
changes
- Drive efficiency in change process to avoid rework
- Standardize change process and governance for Large Mining Trucks in
collaboration with other machine products in Decatur
- Create Dashboards and monitor change control metrics
- Action Item management from change control meetings
- Review and audit PPAPs/TFCs, change notices, and escalations
Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate
the change control process (CPPD) by coordinating between engineering teams,
manufacturing teams, and suppliers to implement design changes into production.
·
Document
and improve existing change control processes developed by the current CPPD
coordinator.
·
Track
performance metrics of the engineering group and ensure adherence to these
metrics. Provide feedback on performance and process effectiveness.
·
Develop
and maintain standard work documentation for change control processes.
·
Train
other CPPD professionals and product groups on new standard work procedures.
· Work closely with the existing CPPD coordinator to learn and support ongoing processes.
Education:
·
Associate's
degree with at least 2 years of hands-on experience, or a Bachelor's degree
with 0-2 years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
· Master’s degree is fringe of being overqualified but will consider.
Experience:
·
Minimum
of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within manufacturing.
· Experience with change control processes in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Skills:
·
Proficiency
in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
·
Experience
with Teamcenter or similar PLM software (training available if necessary).
·
Familiarity
with internal client’s programs (e.g., HVC) is a plus.
·
Excellent
communication skills.
·
Strong
attention to detail.
·
Project
management skills, including scheduling and tracking deliverables.
Preferred
Qualifications:
·
Experience
in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
·
Knowledge
of Power BI.
·
Background
in supply chain management or business analysis.
·
Bilingual
capabilities to support global stakeholders.
