Global Supply Manager Contract Support
We are currently seeking a Global Supply Manager supporting Low Voltage Electrical Control Unit (ECU) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) procurement. The Global Supply Manager manages all company business with a group of suppliers and is the key internal interface with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality and Manufacturing to deliver world class products on time and cost effectively. They must identify, develop, and manage the global Supply Chain. They will help establish our global supply chain strategy, support cross-functional teams during the development and industrialization phases and drive sound business decisions throughout the product life cycle.
You Will:
- Work directly with electronic and mechanical component tier 2 suppliers to ensure material clear-to-build (CTB) for Gravity and Midsize proto builds
- Review, analyze and clarify quotations from suppliers and share and present data to supply-chain for driving negotiations and sourcing decisions
- Support supply-chain and engineers with creating purchase requisitions in Coupa and SAP for prototypes, materials and tooling
- Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds/start of production and develop solutions to delays or problems that arise
- Track Air and Gravity tester capacity to ensure testers and tools are ordered in time to prevent supply shortages
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
- Proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
- Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively
- Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis. Able to show teamwork to resolve problems and a thought process to drive successful solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal skills, presentation skills, as well as organizational and program management capabilities
- 4+ years of relevant experience
Purpose of this team: Manage the process of making and delivering vehicles and parts. This includes sourcing raw materials, designing and producing components, assembling vehicles, and distributing them to customers.
- Reason for the request: Increase volume of work to support Midsize/Gravity.
- Surrounding team & key projects: Commodity Strategy File development. In this project the Associate will work with GSMs to understand what the most important indicators and cost drivers are to track in their commodities, in order to develop a transferable file that contains the complete book of business per commodity, technical and commercial outlook and strategies, tracking cost opportunities and supplier risks.
