Job Description:
QA Position Description
- Active Role as a Tester
in TDD (Test Driven Development), Functional / Integration, Regression,
and UAT Testing initiatives
- Develops, executes and
maintains software test plans
- Develop manual test
scripts for user interface, functionality, and system testing
- Execute regression
tests, functional tests and data tests
- Log bugs/issues via an
issue tracking tool, and help determine priority of reported bugs
- Provide internal
Quality Assurance
- Provide clear reporting
on test plan results
- Report on progress of
the test process
- Ability to manage
change during the test process
- Verification testing in
production to ensure the changes were properly installed
- Maintains documentation
of test results to assist in validation and modification of software
- Administration of test
control and statistics collection (i.e. defect tracking)
Desired Experience
- University Degree in a
relevant technical field
- A combination of
experience and education may be substituted
- General IT Experience
- Understanding, and
hands-on experience with Application Development Lifecycle
- Agile and Iterative
Development processes
- Team Foundation Server
(TFS)/Automation scripting using TFS
- Exposure to MS SQL or
MySQL preferred
- Programming experience
a plus
- 3 - 5 years of
experience with Quality Assurance Manual Testing
- IT Application testing
experience
- Defect management and
reporting systems knowledge
