Quality Assurance Technician I – Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing

As a Quality Assurance Technician I, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the excellence of advanced robotic systems and electromechanical assemblies. Working closely with engineers and production professionals, you will inspect, test, and verify components that drive cutting-edge automation technology. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented technician who takes pride in upholding high standards and contributing directly to product performance and reliability.


Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection within manufacturing or assembly environments.
  • Proven ability to inspect mechanical and electromechanical assemblies using calibrated measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and optical inspection equipment.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Experience conducting dimensional, functional, and visual inspections for incoming, in-process, and final products.
  • Familiarity with non-conformance documentation, quality control (QC) procedures, and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect deviations and ensure accuracy in fast-paced production settings.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience in robotics, automation, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of robotic subsystems, including gantries, actuators, sensors, end-of-arm tooling, and vision/camera systems.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent certification.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 standards, continuous improvement practices, and root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, 5-Why, or Fishbone methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP or MES systems for quality data recording and analysis.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of quality assurance or inspection experience in a relevant production or assembly environment.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to follow control plans, QC work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Process Engineers, Product Quality Engineers, and Operations teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Commitment to maintaining calibration standards and documentation accuracy.
  • Occasional overtime may be required based on production needs.
