Summary:-
The
main function of a quality engineer is to research and test the design,
functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and
develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability to read
and interpret blueprints and evaluate product integrity and standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and
instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability
data.
Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment
and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control
activities.
May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design,
incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- The position performs internal auditing duties in support of the
Client Quality Management System and provides feedback to ensure continuous
improvement.
Reason/motivation for request:
- Addition
- This position will be part of the Quality Management team at CMO. The team
will be focused on a gap analysis of the CQMS at CMO. They will also
assist in resolving issues by selecting the best solution.
Typical task breakdown:
- Plan, coordinate and conduct internal quality audits
- Generate reports regarding the quality status of the CQMS, and any
significant trends indicated by the data
- Identify, analyze and resolve non-conformance
Interaction with team:
- The internal auditor will work directly with all members of the
Quality Management team to collaborate on internal quality audits.
Work environment:
- CMO is a fast-paced foundry and machining environment.
Education & Experience Required:
- Internal Auditing Certification
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Minimum 2 years of auditing experience
- Experience auditing ISO9001, ISO17025 or CQMS
(Desired)
- CQA certification
- Lead auditor experience
