Job Description:
Summary: The main function of a quality engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
  • May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.

Skills:
  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
  • Team player and detail oriented.
  • Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
  • Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Position’s Contributions to Work Group: 
  • As Product Detect Consultant, you will have a significant impact on overall product quality and customer experience for MineStar Detect technologies. This role will provide support and service engineering services which include product validation, investigating, troubleshooting, diagnosing application and technical problems. With an emphasis in project management, internal and external relations.
  • Support Continuous Product Improvement processes for MineStar Technologies offerings.

Work environment: 
  • Standard office, limited field exposure. Above ground mining sites – all PPE will be provided when visiting; MSHA certification required for mine visits (Client will cover the costs of training and certification)

Education & Experience Required: 
  • Years of experience: 2-4 years
  • Degree requirement:  BS Degree preferred; can accept Associate Degree

*This role is open to local candidates within a 40 mile radius from AZ Tucson Mining Center. Sahuarita, Vail, Oro Valley, Marana – 45-50 min drive
