Must Have:

Job Description:

Execute existing laboratory workflows from planning to data analysis stage.
• Recognize, document, and escalate protocol deviations to stakeholders
• Ensure equipment and instruments remain in good operating condition, recognize any malfunctions and troubleshoot as needed
• Maintain updated understanding and knowledge of methods performed in the lab
• Provide feedback on the workflows and participate in developing solutions to pinch points, throughput limitations, and data quality
• Work with a team of researchers to extend and interpret advanced analytical methodologies.
• Facilitate interactions with collaborators, both internal and external, to develop efficiencies for cutting edge analytical methods.
• Adapt to unexpected schedule changes and respond to emergency situations, as needed

Basic qualifications
• Hands-on expertise with cutting edge molecular biology, microbiology and/or biochemistry methods and concepts.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies that are commonly used in modern laboratory data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully within an entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent organizational skills, with great attention to detail and record keeping.
• Strong verbal and written communication skill
• Knowledge of safety procedures relating to operation of laboratory equipment and handling of chemical and biohazards

Preferred qualifications
• PhD/MS degree within life sciences (e.g. Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology and Microbiology) and 2-4 years of directly related commercial experience
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams at the interface of life science and computer science.

• Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies that are commonly used in modern laboratory data analysis.

• Broad familiarity with different areas of the life sciences.

• Hands-on experience in high-throughput research, incl. operation of liquid handlers.
