Solutions Architect - Kubernetes/Azure
As a Developer Engagement Engineer on this team, you will be a key contributor to product development activities for our team in Seattle. These teams are developing services, tools, and processes to support other engineering teams. This role is critical to the support of our public safety products running in the cloud. You will be working on a high-velocity, results-oriented team that leverages cutting-edge technologies and techniques. The right individual will be motivated and will have a passion for automation, deployment processes and enabling innovation.
The Cloud Infrastructure team is responsible for:
? Design and implementation of the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
pipeline into multiple public cloud regions
? Development and operation of common platform services that can be leveraged by our SaaS solutions moving forward
? Overall reliability and security of these services and the environments they are run in
? Monitoring and support for these platform and infrastructure services, as well as metrics collection and reporting related to them
Key responsibilities include:
? Understand the customer requirements and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions using PaaS, CIE Tooling, and modern cloud best practices.
? Drive long-term platform adoption by helping customers to develop cloud native projects
? Define and meet scalability, availability, security, and performance goals
? Maintain technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and
competitive insights; collaborate and share with the technical community
? Understand complex technical details and build test methodologies for them
? Be an Azure Platform evangelist with customers, partners and external communities
? Participate in an on-call 24x7 rotation
? Proficient in automation, expert in establishing repeatable procedures.
? Interest in web infrastructure and distributed systems.
? Hands-on experience working with production cloud computing services
? Experience Linux and Windows system administration
? Great communication and eagerness to continue learning
? Container orchestration (Kubernetes)
? Configuration Management (Chef/Puppet)
? Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
? Previous experience with L3/L4 networking (load balancers/firewalls)
? Experience with monitoring tools
? Experience with Subversion or GitHub
? Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
? Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or Powershell
? Experience implementing build configuration tools, such as Jenkins, Git, SVN, Ant, Chef, or Puppet
? Solid Experience operating Production environments in AWS, or Azure
? Agile development environment experience
? B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
