Job Description
JOB PURPOSE: Manage inbound and outbound logistics management to ensure the timely and efficient receipt and delivery of materiel to activity points along the material flow path. Ensure adherence to corporate policies and practices by working effectively with appropriate functional areas to maintain a high-velocity material flow. JOB DUTIES: Perform activities to ensure material is shipped, received, stored or delivered quickly and efficiently. Provide logistics management, analysis and support of inbound and outbound material flow. Using the CPS Guiding Principles, lead aggressive continuous improvement efforts to: Eliminate excess inventory, Manage material to PFEP-defined flowpaths, Provide development, maintenance and support of transportation requirements for the customer, including determining appropriate mode and carrier, Monitor carrier performance, determine root cause and take corrective action, Decrease transportation costs and reduce premium freight expense, Improve carrier quality and container scheduling and availability, Manage and support business unit or facility logistics activities. Provide support and assistance to business unit or facility groups to resolve transportation issues. Provide overall management of the facility freight expenses, including filing carrier loss and damaged freight claims and monitoring, analyzing and performing root cause corrective actions to resolve freight non-compliance issues. Typical customers include: Department or business/service unit in a division, Material suppliers, Transportation carriers, Import and export companies, 3rd party logistics providers, Subassembly and kitting operations, Packaging engineers, Shipping and receiving personnel, Product order analysts, Material planning and requirements personnel, Employees at product distribution centers. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. 2-4 years experience required.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
The role is responsible for staff functions, provide change management process leadership, employee technical assistance, work with cross functional teams for planning and implementing product changes in the manufacturing process.

JOB DUTIES
- Managing manufacturing change information and assignment of manufacturing effective dates, checking the timely receipt and completeness of records prepared by product design, and distribution and maintenance of engineering data.
- Address issues dealing with engineering design and change implementation requirements within the Job Readiness System (JRS).
- Creates, maintains, and communicates accurate change management data at both the local and corporate level through data entry in the Pontiac MFG Pro system.
- The incumbent analyzes engineering releases, changes, drawing notices to create change management requirements, and provides the creation of product structure based on engineering design within EDS.
- Incumbent reviews and insures the proper release of engineering information within NPI Programs.
- The incumbent facilitates meetings to assure that changes or model introductions are properly monitored.
- The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others.
- The position's primary customers are internal to the plant to which the incumbent works.
- The Incumbent is responsible for tracking build readiness in alignment with EBS and planned SOL Dates.
- The incumbent is responsible for BoM validations to ensure released ERP Revision alignment to PRB Revision.
Interaction with team:
- Engagement with all process partners within the facility, offering guidance and priority to open workload regarding product change control.

Education & Experience Required:
- Requires a technical college or university degree in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering related field OR equivalent external experience in releasing engineering changes and/or NPI into a production environment.; 2-4 years of experience
Technical Skills
- Strong team player with good organizational, interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize tasks combined with good written, spoken technical communication. Previous Client work experience is a plus.
- Understanding of Engineering Records, Manufacturing Releasing, Materials Scheduling, and Engineering Manufacturing Change Control procedures normally gained through a minimum of 1-year experience as a PCC, ME, or related field.
