Job Description: Supply Chain Program Manager

· Candidate Location Requirements: Newark CA
· If hybrid, # of days contractor will be required to work onsite: ? 100% onsite
· Daily Schedule & OT estimate: 10am-7pm EST, Mon-Fri (OT as needed)
· Chance for Extension (Y/N): TBD
· Purpose of the Team: Focuses on ensuring the efficient and reliable flow of materials and parts needed for vehicle production, from sourcing to delivery. This includes managing supplier relationships, optimizing logistics, and maintaining inventory levels. The program also aims to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance sustainability by minimizing waste and optimizing the number of parts in their vehicles.

Typical Day in the Role
· Key projects: Need a Supply Chain PM to help manage Nexus program launch and SC deliverables
· Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: Confirming RQ status, supplier status, tool status, part orders, material deliveries. Managing GSM.

Candidate Requirements
· Years of Experience Required: 2-4 overall years of experience in the field.
· Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree is preferred for this role.

Automotive industry, manufacturing experience. New product launch experience. Good communication skills.

· Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and quality of work

Summary: The main function of a project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.

Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
• Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

Skills:
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Basic knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
