Overview

As a Systems Engineer III on the Satellite Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) team, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring the safety, performance, and reliability of our client’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite power systems—impacting global connectivity and bridging the digital divide. This hands-on engineering role gives you the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, validate, and optimize spacecraft power systems that shape the future of broadband delivery from orbit.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 2–5 years of experience in hardware or software test engineering
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals (DC circuits, power electronics, sensing, protection)
- Hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test environments
- Proficiency with test equipment such as power supplies, DC loads, and data acquisition systems (DAQs)
- Proven ability to automate test systems and processes using Python (99% of codebase)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in both hardware and software contexts
- Demonstrated ability to manage small-to-medium technical projects with cross-functional collaboration
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working on power systems for aerospace, automotive, or energy storage applications
- Familiarity with modern software engineering concepts such as automation frameworks, algorithms, and unit testing
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation (SOPs, test plans, or runbooks)
- Exposure to AI tools or scripting methods that streamline processes
- Alignment with leadership principles such as: Learn and Be Curious, Think Big, Bias for Action, and Dive Deep
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- 2–5 years of hands-on test or system integration experience in a high-tech hardware environment
