The Technical
Business Analyst (BA) for Data Analytics will play a key role in gathering
requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications, and
collaborating with cross-functional teams.

- Any
BI tool experience is acceptable
- Snowflake
knowledge is a plus but not mandatory
- Manufacturing
experience is highly preferred over other
industry but not a strict requirement

Summary
We are seeking a
skilled Technical Business Analyst to lead the translation of complex business
requirements into technical solutions within our data analytics projects. This
role is pivotal in ensuring that our data-driven initiatives align with segment
and business unit objectives and are executed efficiently across
cross-functional data domains and teams, including onshore, nearshore, and
offshore collaborators. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical
acumen and business insight, facilitating seamless integration of data
solutions into our business processes.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- We are seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst to lead the
translation of complex business requirements into technical solutions within
our data analytics projects.
- This role is pivotal in ensuring that our data-driven initiatives align with
segment and business unit objectives and are executed efficiently across
cross-functional data domains and teams, including onshore, nearshore, and
offshore collaborators.
- The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical acumen and business
insight, facilitating seamless integration of data solutions into our business
processes.
Typical task breakdown:
1. Business Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Engage with stakeholders across departments to identify and document business
challenges that can be addressed through data analytics.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing business processes to pinpoint
areas for improvement and data integration.
- Develop detailed business cases and process models to support data-driven
decision-making.
2. Translation of Business Needs into Technical Specifications
- Convert business requirements into clear technical specifications, ensuring
alignment with data architecture and governance standards.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to design data models, ETL processes,
and integration strategies that support analytics objectives.
- Define and document technical requirements, calculations, etc., for data
products - datasets/data views, data visualizations.
3. Cross-Functional & Global Team Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams,
fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Coordinate with onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams, ensuring that project
timelines and quality standards are met across all regions.
- Maintain alignment among globally distributed teams.
Interaction with team:
- Working with Global teams, across various time zones and in India.
- Total of 10 folks on team and who they will working with directly.
- Highly visible project, working with peers and leadership.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree is a nice to have, not required. But must have at least
8+ years experience in this capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree must have minimum 5+ years experience.
- Master’s degree must have a minimum 5+ years experience.
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Worked in the manufacturing industry but worked in Data Domains.
- They need to understand data analytics technology.
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on data analytics
or business intelligence projects.
- Proven experience working with global teams, including offshore and nearshore
collaborators.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power
BI).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL
processes (e.g., Snowflake)
Soft Skills
(Required)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex
technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and vice-versa.
- Ability to work with onshore, offshore and nearshore technical and business
teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity
and self-motivated
- Experience working within the manufacturing industry - focused on related
data domains, such as but limited to, operations, supply chain, marketing, etc.
