Job Title : Training & Instructional Design Manager

Location : Matawan, NJ (Onsite)

Duration : Fulltime permanent role

 

Note :

Need to have own vehicle and clean driver’s license. Should be bilingual with Spanish and English.

Person will be half the time in Matawan and the other half driving around to stores in NJ and NYC.

 

Summary:

The Training and Instructional Design Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the training and development programs within the organization. This role focuses on 

ensuring that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively in their current roles and to grow professionally. The Training Manager will lead the design, development, 

and execution of learning initiatives, collaborating with key stakeholders to assess organizational learning needs and deliver programs that align with business objectives.

 

Job Overview:

o Training Program Development

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of training programs for various levels of the organization, including applications (SAP, MS Office, compliance, leadership development, and skill-building programs.

• Ensure that the training content is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and update content as needed based on feedback, performance metrics, and organizational changes.

o Team Leadership:

• Manage a team of trainers (2 Northeast, 2 Southeast) ensuring that the team has the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality training to member stores on all features of the SAP applications and client’s processes.

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for training team members.

o Needs Assessment:

• Collaborate with senior management and department heads to identify training needs across the organization.

• Conduct skills gap analysis to prioritize learning initiatives that support the company’s strategic goals.

• Develop training plans and schedules to ensure timely delivery of programs.

o Training Delivery:

• Deliver in-person or virtual training sessions for employees and store members as needed.

• Coordinate with external vendors or consultants for specialized training programs, when necessary.

o Performance Measurement & Reporting:

• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for training programs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

• Collect and analyze feedback from participants to gauge the effectiveness of training and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

• Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on training outcomes and ROI.

 

o OTHER ACTIVITIES:

• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and learning methodologies to incorporate innovative approaches into training programs.

• Encourage a culture of continuous learning by promoting professional development opportunities across the organization.

 

Qualifications:

o Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field. 

o Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

• Proven experience in designing and delivering both in-person and virtual training programs.

• Experience managing a team of trainers or instructional designers.

o Skills and Competencies:

• Leadership: Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of training professionals.

• Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously.

• Training Delivery: Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills, both in[1]person and virtual.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze training needs, assess performance gaps, and create data-driven solutions.

• Technology Savvy: Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning tools, and other training technologies (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate).

• Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage complex projects, deadlines, and resources effectively.

• Coaching and Mentoring: Skilled in coaching team members and developing their careers.

• Candidate must be proficient in English and Spanish Language 

 

o Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with instructional design methodologies 

• Experience with virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx).

• Proficient in MSOffice Suite
