Job Description

Supply Chain Analyst 5(Vendor Manager)

1005 remote

12 months contract (possibility of extension)


Summary: Under the guidance and direction of Vendor Management Lead; coordinate, administer, oversee, and organize resource requirements (staffing of Fieldglass Contractor Personnel to meet evolving business needs that predominantly center on building out telecomm RAN infrastructure) between internal customer team requirements and external identified vendors of those contracting resources. Support all required activities from development of job requirements, search and selection of candidates, through on-boarding, (including all required documentation and support data), and full life cycle management, including managing things like time-off requests and offboarding. Additionally support time reporting and invoice vendor invoicing processes. The Vendor Manager will also schedule and hold meetings with appropriate departments, Points of Contact, vendors, and upper management. Essentially, the Vendor Manager serves as a central point of contact responsible for coordinating all existing and evolving activities, resources, equipment and information necessary for Samsung’s Deployment Direct staffing program.

Responsibilities, job skills, functions and requirements include but are not limited to


  • Overseeing deployment staffing needs of internal CATs (Customer Account Teams)
  • Liaising with SEA vendors to fill requirements in a timely manner
  • Processing and ensuring all required documentation is received for on-boarding
  • Create and update project documents, schedule meetings, create agendas and minutes
  • Collect weekly time reports via Fieldglass workforce management platform, compile into Master workbook, and work with CAT teams to validate time, including OT/Additional time approvals
  • Prepare and send monthly Approved Time Reports to vendors for invoicing
  • Validate vendor invoice against Approved Time Report and send to AP team for final review and processing, via Fieldglass workforce management platform
  • Review Contractor Personnel expenses against agreements and travel policy
  • Document, in Fieldglass, Contractor Personnel contact information (phone and vendor provided email)
  • Create and update process and data flows and other project documentation regarding project phases, risks, issues, open questions, and assumptions
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project start/end dates, extensions, replacements to vendors
  • Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required
  • Ensure to track, report and provide feedback on vendor performance
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
  • Make certain that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves
  • Help prepare project proposals, timeframes, schedule and budget, in coordination with Finance and other teams
  • Monitor and track project’s progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Use project management tools: Fieldglass to monitor working hours, budget, plans and money spend, in concert with CAT and other teams
  • Update internal and customer databases and tools
  • Schedule and track timelines for all awarded Services compared to forecasts, for the awarded services
  • Report and coordinate escalations as necessary, both internally and externally
  • Program coordination and governance-related activities including daily, weekly, monthly reporting (team consolidation)
  • Ensuring that identified systems, tools, databases, and the data repository, including Fieldglass, are updated accurately and timely, in accordance with the Contract Documents
  • Attend Daily/Weekly calls


  • Help and coordinate vendor processes and methods to identify (via RFP and other means) and approve vendors
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase order requests, project proposals


  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree or equivalent work experience (Bachelor’s Degree Preferred)
  • 5-7 years of relevant industry experience (data analysis, coordination, etc.)
  • Strong Technical Skills in math, statistics, and data analysis
  • Good analytical skills to compile information into useful reports and presentations
  • This position requires good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the areas of Microsoft Standard Office Suite (Excel Expertise Required)

Education - Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree or equivalent work experience (Bachelor’s Degree Preferred)

Years preferred - 5 plus years

Must haves:

  • Contingent labor full lifecycle management, including vendor management experience. (min. 2 years of experience)
  • Field glass VMS, from Program management prospective.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Emphasis on reporting and Data analysis experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Business Process experience

3 preferred skillset/experience:

  • Background in C-level reporting
  • Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience in staffing environment
