Job
Title: Vendor Manager
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 06
months with a possibility of extension
Job description
Vendor Management:
- Oversee vendor onboarding and ongoing vendor
management
- Handle the payment process and support vendor sourcing
and selection
- Manage vendor risk and conduct vendor performance
analysis
- Review scope details and draft contract language
- Negotiate pricing with vendors and ensure contractual
terms are met
Indirect Purchasing &
Strategic Sourcing:
- Lead strategic sourcing projects to drive cost savings
and optimize value
- Utilize market strategies to source and select vendors
effectively
- Leverage indirect purchasing experience to support
overall procurement strategies
Project Management &
Analytical Skills:
- Manage multiple projects with strong prioritization
skills
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
(including formulas and automation)
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, or Alteryx is a plus
(Excel proficiency remains acceptable on its own)
- Knowledge of ERP and SAP is an advantage but not
mandatory
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (finance or
vendor management roles)
- 3–4 years of experience required for candidates
holding a Bachelor’s degree
- Skills:
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Suite skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and
relationship-building capabilities
- Proven project management and contract process
management experience
- Ability to drive vendor performance improvements and
cost-saving initiatives
- Certifications:
- Industry certifications (e.g., CPSM, ACSM) are a
plus, though not mandatory
A reasonable,
good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $45.00 to $ 51.00
