all aspects of in-business risk and control
- Identity opportunities
to improve and address what those improvements are
- Analyze processes,
actual control functions, accessing level of controls which is operating
Supposed to have a day-to-day communication with senior leadership, partner
banks and quarterly meetings with regulators
Job Description
Position Summary:
The Vice President of Technology Controls is responsible for
assessing risk management and controls for Technology Infrastructure and
Software Development and Testing and working with the teams to enhance
procedures and controls. In addition, this role will lead teams on control
execution to support the management of RCSA (Risk & Control
Self-Assessment), audits and examinations. The position will identify areas of
improvement and provide support to implement enhancements. This role will face
off to the examiners. This role will provide challenge to the business function
and lead improvements in the control space. This role will drive industry
technology improvements specific to risk management. This role will perform
assignments under the guidance of the VP, Risk & Control Client Delivery.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in
business or an information technology-related field
- 10+ years experience in
operations or technology in a banking or other highly regulated industry
- Experience managing risk
in an information technology setting
- Experience in analyzing
or managing technical processes such as network, server or mainframe
systems administration
- Strong analytical skills
with ability to organize, analyze and present information
- Excellent communication
skills, written and oral
- Demonstrated leadership
in IT role with significant risk management responsibility
- Attention to detail and
organization
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Lead and provide
guidance to Technology Infrastructure and Software Development teams on
all aspects of in-business risk and control
- Ensure that IT RCSAs are
complete and thoroughly address all aspects of risk
- Interact with internal
audit and regulators related communicating IT controls and their
effectiveness
- Drive the implementation
and maintenance of a strong control environment
- Liaise with second line
of defense colleagues and first line managers to ensure thorough risk
assessment and mitigation
