Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Manage production part returns and failure investigations
- Execute validation testing on NTI/NPI/Production parts
Reason/motivation for request:
- This is an addition to the team to enable rapid investigation of field returns and expand the capacity for product verification/validation within product development.

This position will work with a world-wide team, including Canada, China, Mexico and Thailand, both suppliers, dealers and other engineering teams. This is a great opportunity to expand on your diagnostic and validation experience with electronics.
Typical task breakdown:
- Receive and track incoming material and outbound shipments
- Perform investigations and report out on findings when field returns arrive, heavy electrical hardware failure investigation
- Ensure test plans exist and are properly executed within product development
- Maintain excellent documentation for both field returns and product in development (part tracking, test procedures, test results, etc)
- Maintain lab equipment and organization
Interaction with team:
- Daily interactions with all members of the ECM team
- Ongoing report outs to cross functional team members on test results and failure investigations
- Ongoing report outs to first line managers outside of work director
Team Structure
- 1x Architect – Sets direction for product development for controllers
- 2x Platform lead – Manages business and program needs in product development
- 3x Technical lead – Responsible for technical development and execution
- 1x Lab manager – Coordinates lab activities across all ECM/ECU groups
Work environment:
- Office and lab environments, role will require switching between both areas, varies with current duties, lab PPE required = safety toe shoes with EH rating and safety glasses
Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: 8+
- Associates in EE or EET with 12 years,
- BSEE/ BSEET with 8 years,
- MSEE with 5 years
- Degree requirement: BSEE desired, experience acceptable
