We are seeking an
experienced Systems Engineer III (Linux Administrator) to support enterprise
Linux infrastructure, security compliance, automation, and large-scale
operational excellence within the Linux Center of Expertise. This is a hands-on
role focused on RHEL 8/9 administration, vulnerability remediation, CIS
compliance, and enterprise Linux operations.
Here
are some of the specific details:
Job Title: Systems Engineer III (Linux Administrator).
Job Duration: 12+ months with possible extension.
Job Location: Kirkland, WA or San Diego, CA (Hybrid).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· 5+ years of enterprise Linux Systems Administration experience.
· Strong hands-on experience with RHEL 8/9 administration.
· Experience with CIS Level 1 & Level 2 remediation and Linux security
hardening
· Hands-on experience with Ansible and Puppet for configuration management
and automation.
· Experience with YUM/DNF package management and repository troubleshooting.
· Strong knowledge of Bash or Python scripting.
· Solid understanding of DNS, subnetting, routing, and Linux networking
fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
·
Lead CIS Level 1 & Level 2
remediation activities for RHEL 8/9 environments.
·
Perform Linux vulnerability
remediation, patch management, and security hardening while meeting
organizational security SLAs.
·
Maintain and support enterprise Linux
infrastructure using Ansible and Puppet automation.
·
Provide KTLO operational support,
incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across Linux
platforms.
·
Coordinate with Security,
Infrastructure, and Application teams to implement secure, compliant, and
reliable Linux solutions.
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $60/hr. to $64/hr. on W2.
